East Hanover - East Hanover is notably home to the North American headquarters of Mondelez International (parent company of Nabisco) and the pharmaceutical company Novartis.

Fairfield - Do you know those “As Seen on TV” products that are often advertised on various television commercials? The distributor of those items, Telebrands, has had its headquarters in Fairfield for decades.

Florham Park - The name Florham Park was derived from the first names of millionaire Hamilton Twombly and his wife, Florence; “Park” was added in honor of Dr. Leslie D. Ward's estate, Brooklake Park.

Livingston - In the early years, farming and lumber were the main sources of income for the township. Shoemaking became a major industry during the Civil War. The dairy business became Livingston's leading industry after the Civil War and remained so well into the 20th century.

Madison - Madison is a college town that is the home of both Drew University and Fairleigh Dickinson University; Saint Elizabeth University is located in neighboring Convent Station, New Jersey. Madison is also home to the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, one of the largest professional Shakespeare companies in North America.

Mount Tabor - Mount Tabor, named for a biblical mountain near the Sea of Galilee, is an architectural adventure—full of Victorian cottages sporting period paints and gingerbread, with a colorful history to match. It's as if a sliver of vintage Cape May somehow landed in busy, suburban Morris County.

Mountain Lakes - Mountain Lakes was originally a planned community, founded in 1910 by Herbert Hapgood. It became an independent town in 1924. The United States Navy's Underwater Sound Reference Laboratories was located in Mountain Lakes during World War II.

Randolph - Randolph became a vacation haven in the early part of the 20th century, known for its woods, ponds, lakes and air. Through the 1950s, farms, large hotels and bungalow colonies dotted the community. Performers such as Phil Silvers, and Frank Sinatra appeared at the hotels.

Parsippany - The town of Parsippany derived its name from the Lenape Native American word parsipanong, meaning "the place where the river winds through the valley." In 2006, Parsippany was ranked 17th in Money Magazine's list of Best Places to Live in the United States.

Rockaway - Rockaway was the first district in America to actively work and mine iron ore. The contribution of the iron industry assisted in the cause for independence from England prior to the American Revolution.

Wharton - Wharton traces the vivid history of New Jersey's hub industry during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Known as Port Oram until 1901, the town was the site of the richest mineral deposits in the state and of the famed Picatinny Arsenal, still active today.

Whippany - Whippany was first settled in 1685. At that time it was commonly called “Whippeny,” although it was also known by a number of other similar pronunciations of its aboriginal name. An iron forge was built on the banks of the Whippanong River in 1715.
